I’m a reporter working for the Burnaby Now, an online community newspaper serving British Columbia’s third largest city.
Since 2022, my beat has been all things city hall and the wide-ranging ways residents feel the effects of civic governance. Suburban identity in the face of increasing urban growth is a particular interest of mine.
I have a certificate in journalism from Langara College, where I quite literally learned how to chase stories (a couple hours running after e-scooters zipping away is an excellent object lesson in the meaning of tenacity).
Before journalism, I got my master’s in ancient Greek and Latin literature from Dalhousie University and won a national research award for my studies. This humanities background allows me to approach my work with a critical and compassionate eye.
